Health Care Center
The Healthcare Center aims to help UNIST members effectively resolve the various difficulties and problems they experience in their school and daily lives, and to help them unleash their potential. Through one-on-one counseling with counselors, psychological testing, and various programs (group counseling, Newsletter, animal-assisted therapy, etc.), the center assists in more effectively resolving emotional issues, interpersonal difficulties, and concerns regarding academics and career paths encountered in school life.

What problems or topics do you usually receive psychological counseling for?
All difficulties in life that our school members may experience in their daily lives, such as interpersonal relationships, personality issues, adjustment problems, academic difficulties, and family issues, can be topics of counseling. In particular, it can be helpful for students who are struggling with depression, lethargy, anxiety, loneliness, or difficulties in interpersonal relationships, as well as those who find it difficult to maintain their daily lives due to a loss of motivation, frequent tardiness, and absenteeism compared to the past.
Can anyone receive counseling?
All UNIST members are eligible to apply. Applications are limited to individuals assigned a student ID or faculty ID, such as Students, Researcher, and Faculty & Staff ; students on leave of absence are also eligible. Graduates who are currently pursuing studies or Research within the institute may use the service within one year of graduation, while non-members (including family members) may use the service once in emergency situations (single-session counseling, information provision, etc.).
Can the Content of the psychological counseling be shared with others?
The client is kept confidential of everything from the fact that they are receiving psychological counseling to the Content thereof, and it will not be disclosed to others without their consent.
However, in accordance with Article 15 of the Personal Information Protection Act and the Code of Ethics (Code of Ethics of the Korean Counseling Psychology Association and the Korean Counseling Association), the cases where the principle of confidentiality is restricted are as follows.
